Summer or winter, ride to the top of June Mountain for a gourmet lunch and a breathtaking view of the Sierras. In wintertime, June Mountain Ski Area is the place to go if you’re tired of skiing with 15,000 of your closest “friends”. Low skier count, rib-deep untouched powder and a friendly staff—what could be better? Thanks to the wide open terrain and low angle groomers, first-time skiers and snowboarders aren’t intimidated here; friendly instructors will have you making turns on your very first day.

If that’s too tame for you, don’t worry; with over 2500 feet of vertical, June Mountain also offers steep chutes and incredible powder skiing as well as some of the best lift-accessed backcountry terrain in the Western US.

Summer. Winter. Spring. Fall. All year round, June Lake offers a sweet blend of solitude, beauty and outdoor excitement. Bring your sunglasses, you’ll need them; on average, we get 300 days of sunshine a year. Part of June Lake’s charm comes from our relaxed, laid back atmosphere. Check your life at the door and remember what life used to be like. Ride the gondola to the top of June Mountain and hike into wilderness in any direction. Launch or rent a kayak and paddle around the lakes or explore the back roads of the Eastern Sierra.
